Understanding MAGA and Breaking Them Loose From It

It took me a while to find this article (see link below), and I must admit that I thought it was hogwash in the beginning of 2016 when I first read it. The statistical analysis he did predicted not only the '16 election, but where we are now. 

If you have watched a vlog I made about how to beat maga, you'll see that I have experienced the same by experimenting with them directly using statistical methods to track the results. It doesn't matter what "interests" are at stake. He calls it an authoritarian data point; I call it the bully factor. 

What's the bully factor? Everyone has observed it. The class bully beating up a smaller kid. The bully factor is if and where you land in the following five questions. Were you a bully? Did you follow a bully, a mean girl, a group of guys who were constantly picking on the nerds or geeks? Did you watch, but then were the kid, or kids, that began knocking into the bullied kid and laugh or snicker? Did you only watch from a distance, never a participant, but giggled or just thanked God it wasn't you? Were you the bullied kid who never fought back? Each of these increases the possibility of getting sucked into the cult and that's why the cult has continued to grow. 

What he doesn't say, but I will is that the cult needs to see the authoritarian as losing. All the imaginary grievances are just about directing blame, creating more authoritarians by "owning the libs". 

Do you remember when the bullied kid, if you were lucky enough to see it, fought back? Punched the bully. Refused to do as ordered. Took the beating and got back up with a defiant look. Or got the ultimate, where you laughed at the bully? That's where we should be now, but we're not.

Newsom looked like he was just about to... Then he backed off and now wants to do interviews and kowtow, like that might open some magic box of explanation. 

The Hands Off rallies showed 5 million will stand up. Considerably more than the authoritarians anticipated, and enough to make a tiny group of republican senators do a minimum to protect one issue they think will sell well to gain even more authoritarians over. It's not like they suddenly have moved back to protecting civil rights of minorities. So it's a "dog and pony" to try to pull the "social security" warriors out. Their goal is to reduce that Hands Off number, not actually prevent what they are doing. 

Agree or don't, but I've tested every possible method to get through and the only way that worked was to metaphorically punch back, and keep punching as necessary. Not for the bully, but for those that are one of the other 4 out of the 5 questions above. Now it's not about pulling their sympathy. It's about them realizing the bully is losing, and he isn't, yet.
